7 Things

7 random things about me:

1. I get overly excited when festive snacks arrive for the holidays.

2. English is my mother tongue. I have a slight Californian accent.

3. I’m left-handed in everything except for writing.

4. I spoon feed myself and eat Nutella straight out of the jar.

5. I was a tomboy as a child. I liked to wear firefighter trucker hats, which felt particularly special. When I was 17, I pierced my belly ring to feel like a hippie. Now, I’m a PR girl and before that I was Andy from Devil Wears Prada Burberry.

6. I trimmed my pug’s whiskers when she was a baby. She didn’t wobble and they grew back.

7. Love: Lists. Hate: Bad grammar.

End of Winter

Outfit_5 Outfit_3 Outfit_2

This is the probably the first time I’ve ever worn shorts in January, but they’re perfect for those bright days and it’s getting just hot enough. These are absurdly short but when paired with a button down, it’s stylish. My current favorite elements are the messenger bag, sparkly sunglasses (an Xmas gift from my boyfriend), and orange nail polish. I just will need some fruity sorbet and white summer flowers.

Ps. Thank you to everyone for your lovely comments about my necklace give-away. Congratulations to Krystin, of the lovely blog, Girl in Betsey.

Cameron with Chocolates Giveaway

As some of you already know, this blog has become one of my biggest joys in life and you’ll never know how thankful I am to have such incredible readers. This January will mark the one year anniversary of Cameron with Chocolates and I’m featuring one of my necklaces on today’s post, which is one of my favorite jeweled pieces that I designed. To enter the giveaway, simply leave one comment below by Sunday January 6th. The winner will be selected randomly and I’ll make an announcement on this Monday’s post. Thank you for helping to make my first year so special! Update: This giveaway has been extended.

Current Covet: Leather Citybag

No surprise why this bag is so popular. One of the hottest pieces this season, I love the exposed zipper, the construction, and buttery texture of Zara’s leather Citybag here with its fold over flap. It could be the most perfect catch-all bag I have ever seen, which can be thrown over your body or carried with its sturdy handle. I could fit in a bunch of magazines, a half eaten bagel, as well as my technology equipment such as laptop, camera, and iPad altogether. It’s professional yet also surprisingly playful at the same time with its tassel and the sweet color. CurrentCovet_Zara-CityBag

Ps. Here’s an alternative from Zara if it’s since been sold out.

Falling for Fashion: Part 3

I love the holidays associated with winter. But the accompanying cold? Not so much. And whilst I love curling up in bed with my lazy-outfit (aka onesies), I love running out the house with layered staples such as a warm sweater, boots, and tights. Thanks to these stylish ladies, I’m excited to experience a bit of winter, which Bangkok weather is actually feeling like right about now minus the whole dandruff-esque snow effect thingie on your hair. Ps. You can see the previous picks here and here I did on this topic.

I would love jetting around the city with this suit blazer.

This gold feather headband is a nice change to accessorize your outfit.

Wonder how to layer your staples? Plus the leather leggings look so chic.

I wouldn’t mind wearing everything from this black and white outfit.

This pink cocoon coat is everything. Without being too pretty.

On the hunt for a cable knit sweater and this outfit would be the one for me.

Routine Ruts

We had a pretty exciting but tiring week and neither really got to rest nor really sink in all the experiences between the company outing up North in the mountains, my sister returning from Houston, and sending the last batch of my book out to a massive list of reporters. I haven’t had any time for perspective or those moments of absolutely doing nothing only to be caught up in all of life’s little complications that seemed to make important things fall by the wayside. Here are some things that filled up that space and the feeling of home that made me happiest. 1. Dvds and candy 2.  Some baking inspiration 3. A new favorite Korean brunch spot has finally emerged! 4. Love these succulents for the home 5. Baby piglets

Celebrity Crush: Natalie Portman

My style icon is Natalie Portman. She exudes a carefree style and at the same time being classically chic. I immediately fell in love with this gray dress by New York designer 3.1 Phillip Lim she wore to the flash of the Oscars Night. Her low-key personality further adds to her attractiveness with her simple black flats, a comfortably silky sweater dress with a mini ruffle slip inside. I need to hunt down a sweater dress like this stat. Oh and her flawless skin doesn’t hurt either.

3.1 Phillip Lim

This 3.1 Phillip Lim dress is a similar and affordable alternative. It’s a pretty stylish collaboration with Target, which is readily available here ($31.48).
